“My heart is in the East,” Yehuda HaLevi wrote in the 12th century (and Dan Nichols sang in the 21st). Israel’s promise continues to be realized by those bringing egalitarian, democratic, and Jewish values to the forefront.
As an act of identification with and in support of our partner organizations in progressive Jewish life, we invite you to consider a donation to one of these organizations in honor of your B’nei Mitzvah. Your contribution will be matched dollar for dollar up to $100 by generous benefactors in our communities.
How it works
1. Choose: Learn about the organizations and choose one or more to support.
2. Give: Make your donation directly to the organization(s) you choose.
3. Submit: Forward your donation receipt to [email protected]
4. Get Matched: We will match your donation dollar-for-dollar up to a combined total of $100 per B’nei Mitzvah, and confirm this matching gift by return email.
Who we’re supporting
The Israel Movement for Reform and Progressive Judaism

Your donation to the IMPJ supports 53 Reform congregations, the Israeli Religious Action Center and its work to fight discrimination among marginalizedgroups, strong relationships between Israeli and diaspora Jewry, and more.
The Daniel Centers
The Daniel Centers are a network of progressive Jewish communities in Israel, working to make inclusive, pluralistic Judaism accessible to Israelis of all backgrounds. Your donation supports Jewish education, community programming, cultural activities, and efforts to build vibrant communities where people can explore andcelebrate Jewish life in an open and egalitarian environment.
Kehilat Yozma
Kehilat Yozma is a Reform congregation in Modi’in, Israel, building a vibrant, inclusive community with robust social action values. Your donation helps to provide Jewish experiences for developmentally-challenged children at Beit Eden, after-school tutoring effortsto overcome income inequality, efforts to alleviate food insecurity, and more.
Kehilat HaDror
In the working-class neighborhood of Kiryat HaYovel in Jerusalem, Rabbi Ezra Ende (formerly an Assistant Rabbi at Temple Sinai in Pittsburgh!) leads Kehilat HaDror, a warm and welcoming Reform presence. Your donation will help support mother/daughter workshops that promote becoming Bat Mitzvah and religious equality for women, introduce progressive Judaism in ever-widening circles in Israel, and build this important and developing community.
