Cantor Kalix Jacobson’s Installation Weekend
October 20 - October 21
Join us for a weekend of activities celebrating Cantor Kalix Jacobson’s installation as Temple Emanuel’s first ordained cantor in more than 40 years.
We will begin our celebratory weekend with our Shabbat evening service at 7PM followed by a special oneg in honor of Cantor Kalix. Please use the form below to RSVP for Friday evening by October 9th so that we’re sure to have enough food and seating for everyone! The service will also be livestreamed via Temple’s website, Facebook, or Youtube.
On Saturday, October 21, we’ll come together at 10:30AM for a social action activity, cleaning up the trails in Bird Park in Mt. Lebanon. All ages are welcome to participate – bring your gardening gloves and dress appropriately!
The celebration continues at 7PM on Saturday evening when Cantor Kalix, joined by Sierra Fox, will present a reprisal of their cantorial thesis in song. The concert will be followed by a reception of light appetizers and desserts. The cost for Saturday evening is $36/person.
Please also consider being a sponsor for this special weekend. All sponsors will be acknowledged on signage throughout the weekend.
Purchase your tickets and select your sponsorship levels using the form below or mail your check to the office by October 9th.
