Mt. Lebanon Community Menorah Lighting: A Celebration of Light and Peace

December 17, 2025 @ 5:30 pm - 6:30 pm

Join us for Mt. Lebanon’s first community Menorah lighting at Clearview Common! As the menorah shines during Hanukkah, we’ll gather as neighbors to celebrate light, peace, resilience, and community.

This event is open to everyone, including Jewish community members, friends, neighbors, and anyone who wants to stand together and celebrate the season’s traditions.

We’re also launching a Winter Apparel Collection to help keep our community warm. We are accepting new or gently used coats, hats, gloves, scarves, boots, and warm socks in all sizes from infants through adults. Donations will be shared with local organizations supporting families throughout the South Hills.

Free donuts will be served, honoring the Hanukkah tradition of enjoying foods fried in oil to celebrate the miracle of the oil lasting eight days instead of one.

This free community event welcomes everyone.

Proudly co-sponsored by Temple Emanuel, Beth El Congregation, the South Hills JCC, Chabad of the South Hills, PJ Library, the Jewish Federation of Greater Pittsburgh, and StandWithUs.
