Together we will explore areas of disconnect between Jews and the organizations serving the Jewish community\, examine the points of friction that arise during efforts to adapt\, and together dream about a brighter future. This session will be held in the Beit HaT’filah 15 minutes after the conclusion of Yom Kippur morning services. \n\nSession 2 (2:00pm) In partial response to the challenging reports of misconduct in the Union for Reform Judaism’s main organizations\, President Michelle Markowitz convened a broad-based Task Force of Board Members and congregants to make explicit the values of our sacred community. Their work product\, a Code of Conduct for staff\, members\, and all who engage with Temple\, strives to articulate the values of safety and inclusivity that make Temple a kehlia kedosha. DESCRIPTION:Aaron’s Bar Mitzvah project will provide High Holiday treat bags for our most senior members.  Volunteers are needed to bake challah\, make cards\, and assemble/deliver almost 70 treat bags!  We will be meeting at Temple at 1:30pm on the following Sunday afternoons: September 4September 11September 18 Deliveries can be made at your convenience during the week of September 18th. Please stop by at any time during the afternoon\, as we will need help mixing\, braiding\, and baking the challah.  We will make cards and assemble gift bags while we wait for the dough to rise and bake You do not have to stay for the entire afternoon or attend every Sunday – you are welcome to come to just to prepare challah dough\, just to decorate/assemble gift bags\, just to braid\, or stay for as long as you like and help with everything! If you would like to support this project but aren’t able to participate\, donations of any amount to the Caring Community would be appreciated. Please email Kim Walters with your availability: kvwalters585@gmail.com.
